i support micro 3/4 system since it was announced.

smaller size and eliminated redundant reflective mirror, yet still large CCD format, enough for general consumer. I personally favor olympus over panasonic bcos of the history of the brand and my beloved Olym. mju I and II.

GF2 already launched with touch screen. Picture quality is just a little bit better comparing with GF1. GF1 price should drop considerably and it would be a good deal if you don't need touch screen.

You may also consider Olympus EPL-2, they are of the same m4/3 system with lens and flashes etc fully compatible. Pros: Better out-of-camera jpg quality, build-in body anti-shake, cheaper lens (quality acceptable and usable but inferior compairing to Panasonic). Cons: RAW quality not as good as GF1 / GF2, less direct controls (buttons) on camera settings.

Touchscreen feature is not very convenient for skiers, because you have to take your gloves off. Also the picture/instruction on the screen under strong sunlight is difficult to see.
Attraction of the Panasonic is I can get an adaptor for Leica mount. Awaiting the price of GF1 to drop further.

The GF1 had no problem working in lower than -15 degrees in Harbin. But be sure to get spare batteries, they ran out fast in cold conditions
